Official Rules, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy

Please read these Official Rules and the Privacy Policy carefully before submitting an entry. By submitting the entry form, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms described below.

1. Purpose of the Promotion

marvin e kanze, inc.  is proud to support members of our local community by giving one deserving household a new furnace, including professional installation, at no charge to the selected recipient, subject to the terms and limitations outlined in these Official Rules.

We recognize that individuals and families may experience financial hardship, medical emergencies, military-related sacrifices, or other difficult circumstances. This promotion is intended to provide heating assistance to a household that would benefit meaningfully from this gift.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible to participate, an applicant must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Reside in Pennsylvania within the sponsor’s designated service area.

• Own the property where the furnace will be installed, or have written permission from the property owner to authorize the installation.

• Submit a complete entry through the official online entry form before the published deadline.

• Provide accurate and truthful information about their circumstances and the property where installation is proposed.

Employees, owners, officers, and immediate household members of marvin e kanze, inc.  may not participate.

Only one entry per household is permitted. Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, submitted after the deadline, or otherwise inconsistent with these rules may be disqualified.

3. How to Enter

Eligible individuals may enter by completing and submitting the official online entry form during the Promotion Period.

Applicants must provide their name, telephone number, email address, and a written explanation of why they or their nominated household should receive a free furnace.

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Purchasing any product or service from the sponsor will not improve an applicant’s chances of being selected.

There is no entry fee.

4. Winner Selection and Notification

The sponsor will review eligible entries and select one recipient based on the circumstances described in the application, the anticipated benefit to the household, and the sponsor’s assessment of the purpose of this community assistance initiative.

The selection will be made by the sponsor in good faith. The winner will be selected on or before December [18], 2026, and contacted using the telephone number or email address provided in the entry form.

The selected recipient must respond within five (5) calendar days of notification, confirm eligibility, and cooperate with reasonable arrangements for an installation assessment.

If the selected recipient cannot be reached, does not respond within the stated period, is found ineligible, or declines the prize, the sponsor may select an alternate recipient.

The sponsor’s selection decision is final, subject to applicable law.

The number of eligible entries received will affect the likelihood of selection. Because the selection is based on the sponsor’s evaluation of eligible applications rather than a random drawing, this promotion is intended to operate as a judged community assistance program.

5. Description of the Prize

One selected household will receive:

• One new furnace selected by the sponsor.

• Professional installation of the furnace by the sponsor or its qualified installation personnel.

• Standard installation labor and materials reasonably necessary for the agreed installation.

The specific furnace model, capacity, and configuration will be determined by the sponsor following an assessment of the property’s heating requirements and compatibility.

The prize is limited to the furnace and installation services expressly confirmed in writing by the sponsor. Unless specifically included in that written confirmation, the prize does not cover ductwork replacement, major electrical upgrades, gas-line modifications, asbestos or hazardous-material remediation, structural repairs, unrelated HVAC equipment, or other work outside the agreed installation scope.

Any required permits, inspections, code-related work, and additional charges must be discussed with the recipient before work begins. The sponsor will explain any costs that are not included in the prize and obtain the recipient’s written agreement before proceeding with any additional work.

The prize has no cash alternative, is non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for another product or service. The sponsor reserves the right to substitute a reasonably comparable furnace if the advertised or intended equipment becomes unavailable.

The sponsor will coordinate a mutually agreed installation date, subject to equipment availability, weather, permitting, property access, and other reasonable scheduling requirements.

6. Installation Conditions

Before installation, the sponsor may inspect the property to confirm that the proposed furnace is appropriate and that installation can be completed safely and in accordance with applicable building, mechanical, fuel-gas, electrical, and other relevant requirements.

The recipient must provide safe and reasonable access to the installation location and cooperate with any necessary inspection, permitting, and installation arrangements.

If the property is unsuitable for installation and cannot reasonably be made suitable within the scope of the prize, the sponsor may select an alternate recipient.

All installation work will be subject to applicable laws, codes, licensing requirements, manufacturer specifications, and the written installation agreement. Any applicable manufacturer warranty will be provided in accordance with its terms.

7. Publicity and Use of Applicant Stories

Applicants are not required to authorize the public use of their personal stories in order to enter.

The sponsor will not publish an applicant’s name, photograph, personal circumstances, or submitted story for promotional purposes without obtaining separate permission.

The selected recipient may be invited to participate in photographs, interviews, or a public announcement concerning the giveaway. Participation in such publicity is voluntary and requires separate consent.

Declining publicity will not, by itself, affect eligibility or the award of the prize.

8. Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

When you submit an entry, marvin e kanze, inc.  may collect the following information:

• Your full name.

• Your telephone number.

• Your email address.

• The written story or explanation you submit in support of your application.

• Any additional information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility or assess the feasibility of the proposed furnace installation.

Please do not include Social Security numbers, financial account information, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information in your story.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide for the following purposes:

• To receive and administer entries for the Free Furnace Giveaway.

• To evaluate applications and select a recipient.

• To contact applicants about their submissions and notify the selected recipient.

• To verify eligibility and coordinate a site assessment and installation.

• To prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

• To maintain records reasonably necessary to document and administer the promotion.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell applicants’ personal information or share it with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

We may disclose information to employees, contractors, website hosting providers, email or form-processing providers, and other service providers who need it to administer the promotion or perform necessary business functions. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect our rights, or address fraud or security concerns.

Service providers receiving personal information on our behalf should be authorized to use it only for the services they provide, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

Confidentiality of Submitted Stories

We understand that applicants may describe difficult or sensitive personal circumstances. Access to submitted stories will be limited to individuals who reasonably need the information to evaluate or administer the giveaway.

Submitting a story does not grant the sponsor permission to publish it, identify the applicant publicly, or use it in advertising. Any such use requires separate permission as described in Section 7.

Data Security and Retention

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the promotion, document its outcome, address disputes, and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Information that is no longer reasonably needed will be securely deleted or destroyed, subject to legal retention requirements and routine backup practices.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You may contact us to ask questions about your information or request correction or deletion where appropriate and permitted by applicable law. Certain records may need to be retained for legal, administrative, or dispute-resolution purposes.

9. General Conditions

The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries that contain materially false information, violate these rules, or appear to involve fraud or manipulation.

The sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel the promotion if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it impractical or unlawful to continue. Any modification or cancellation will be handled consistently with applicable law and communicated through the promotion’s official website where reasonably practicable.

Nothing in these rules excludes or limits any consumer rights or legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, interrupted internet service, lost or delayed submissions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control that interfere with entry or administration of the promotion.

Nothing in these rules limits liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for negligence, intentional misconduct, or other matters that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Governing Law

These Official Rules and the promotion will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable federal law, without displacing any mandatory legal protections that apply.

Any provision found unenforceable will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, where legally permitted, without invalidating the remaining provisions.
